The prezi program was fairly easy to use and is quite similar to power point, that you can upload information and talk through the presentation using key words on the screen. The program contained cool things which you could do with the words and pictures, creating movement and the ability to zoom in and out of words. The web address to acces this site is http://prezi.com
Here's an example which I made:
This tool would be a good alternative for powerpoint to mix things up a bit and again, for visual learners to see key words which they might need to remember. Personally, I wouldn't use it in my classroom because it is very distracting and makes you feel dizzy watching it. The purpose of using ICT in the classroom is to have the students more engaged with the teacher and the information, not with all of the special effects and animations which ICT offers.
Hi Hannah,
ReplyDeleteHow did you get your Prezi onto your blog? I couldn't put mine on my blog so I just put a link there instead.
~Selina~
When you've completed your Prezi, there's a button that you can press that says embed . When you click on this, it comes up with a really long code of letters. Copy this onto your blog and it should come up when you publish the post.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much!
ReplyDeleteHi Hannah, I found Prezi difficult and confusing to use. I think I need to play around with it more so I can become more familiar with the functions. I have tend to 'give up' on digital tools if I can't use it easily, but looking at yours, I will definately persevere with it. Thanks
ReplyDeleteI agree with you on the fact that Prezi's are not for me. I think they took the words 'dizzy' and 'presentation' and came up with Prezi. Good for linguistic/visual learners, but maybe a little too much.
